Learning and choosing a career path can be very tricky. While you discuss options with your school, your friends and your family, sometimes there is a lack of information as to how you can work in certain roles.
The digital industry is expanding every year and is a broad sector with a range of different roles and lots of opportunity. An example of this is the fact that the demand for web designers and developers increased by 15.5% in June 2020 compared to the previous year. However, TechUK, a trade association, says that British firms are realising that digital skills are crucial to all parts of a business.
THIS IS HOW is a podcast which shines a light on the different digital jobs out there that you may not be aware of – e.g. being a Data Analyst or a Digital Designer
The hosts chat to the people working at some of the UK’s biggest brands, like Love Island, TikTok and Depop. The podcast will give you an insight into the guest, their job role, and their journey there. You can also hear expert advice and tips on how you can embark on your career journey.
There are various routes into the digital industry, via the conventional academic route or other routes. Your interests in music, fashion, sport or even science can help you work in businesses such as Spotify, Netflix or Nike.
