The ITV show called ‘Kendra On Top’ follows the life of Kendra Wilkinson, -glamour model, television personality and former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner. In the third season of the reality show we get to see how Kendra dealt with the aftermath of her husband, Hank, being implicated in a shocking sex scandal.
The first episode, titled ‘Spilled Milk’ starts of with Kendra’s best friend, Jessica, coming to her house to comfort her after getting a phone call in which she tells us that she heard how distraught Kendra was and that she didn’t know what was going on.
When Jessica enters the house we see Kendra crying uncontrollably – some may think that this crying didn’t seem realistic and it was just for the cameras. After taking some time to calm down, Kendra tells us that she found out about her husband’s infidelity rumours from her agent, Brian, who called her saying that Hank cheated on her with a transsexual model and that this rumour is supposedly true because there’s proof.
Jessica tells the cameras that ‘this is completely shocking’ and that ‘this will destroy Kendra’ because as we hear Kendra say, she looked at Hank as if he was ‘Mr Perfect’. Kendra tells us that he supposedly cheated on her when she was 8 months pregnant and that her whole life has been flipped upside down.
The moment in which we see how distraught Kendra really is by this whole situation is when she confesses to Jessica that she has flushed her wedding rings down the toilet, she threw the wedding album in the pool, cut up Hank’s wedding suit and she’s planning to pack up his stuff and throw it in the dumpster.
Jessica asks Kendra if she saw any red flags with Hank throughout her second pregnancy - something that the people who were watching the programme were most likely wondering as well. The answer to the question didn’t satisfy us, as according to Kendra, Hank was the perfect husband and she isn’t one of the girls to ask him where he’s going all the time; he was the only guy in the world who she could trust.
After the scandal, Kendra obviously changed her perception of Hank and told the cameras that maybe there’s another side to Hank that she never knew about and that maybe he’s been living a double life.
We see Kendra alongside her friend Jessica going to the garden to see the wedding album in the pool where they realize that paparazzi have drones flying outside the house. Kendra calls her agent and he doesn’t seem to be very supportive as he asks her why she went outside. After this, Kendra becomes even more upset and to add to that, frustrated as well, as she confesses that she feels like a prisoner and as if she has done something wrong.
In between the events with Kendra and her best friend we see footage from five weeks earlier. In the first one we see Kendra talking to Hank about having a baby girl. She asks him questions such as ‘We’re not getting divorced after this are we?’ and ‘You’re not over me yet after having two kids?’ to which Hank says that he’ll never be over her.
In this episode we also learn that Kendra’s mum wasn’t at all happy when Kendra announced her first pregnancy and ever since then there has been tension between the two of them.
We are shown footage of Kendra going to the hospital to have her second child. She tells us that at that moment she felt fulfilled, 100% and that she never saw this coming. Kendra says that she feels everything just went ‘poof’. We also get to see an emotional moment between Kendra and her grandmother after the birth of Alijah which ends up with both of them crying happy tears.
At the end of the episode, Kendra calls Hank and asks him when he’s bringing Little Hank home, he just says ‘soon’ because he doesn’t want people to say anything in front of him. After this, Kendra tells us how Hank left her in a war zone and that she’s been left alone with no answers and no family member to comfort her.
The 'Kendra On Top' series is worth watching as we see the vulnerable side of Kendra and even at times we may feel like crying with her. It’s easy to tell that this season will be an emotional rollercoaster for Kendra and some people may not like that because at times it can get a bit too much and her sadness may seem to be fake just for the cameras. This show is certainly not for people who think that celebrities are sharing too much intimate information with the public.
