The unique sound presented by the award-winning album was partly down to the band's special relationship with co-producer James Murphy (formerly of LCD Soundsystem) and Markus Dravs, but also due to the band's fascinating creative processes, ensuring that the release was as artistic as Auguste Rodin's 'Orpheus and Eurydice' that lives on the album artwork.
Now, the Grammy Award-winning indie rock legends are giving us a chance to witness those special relationships and creative processes through The Reflektor Tapes - their first feature film coming to cinemas around the world from September 24th for a limited time only.
The Reflektor Tapes, directed by Kahlil Joseph, is a film experience quite unlike any other. A crossroads between documentary, music, art and history - this global cinema event will be audiences a chance to travel with the band on their journey, from laying the foundations in Jamaica, recording in Montreal, performing in Haiti and bringing their live show to packed arenas in Los Angeles and London.
As well as that, audiences will also be able to witness performance clips from the Reflektor concert tour alongside documentary material, personal footage, interviews and more.
There's also an unreleased track thrown in there!
To accompany the film, Arcade Fire have also released an exclusive new music video for the track “Porno”, created by Kahlil Joseph and featuring footage from The Reflektor Tapes.
And, as if it couldn't get any better than that, on Sunday 27th September, from 4pm (UK time), W!ZARD Radio Station listeners will be invited to suggest their favourite Arcade Fire tracks to create: 'The Relektor Tapes Playlist'.
The ultimate Arcade Fire playlist will be published online and made available to listen to through Spotify™.
